1. Connections
A. Dial-Up
Q: What is the local dialup number?
A: All dialup numbers can be found here.
Q: I keep getting an incorrect user name or password error what can I do?
A: Be sure to have @isdn.net following your username. (username@isdn.net) Also try retyping
in your password. Sometimes a stray keystroke can be entered in the password box causing the
error. Currently usernames are not case sensitive, but passwords are.
Q: I keep getting a no dial tone error, what causes this?
A: Usually no dial tone errors are caused by the phone line being plugged into the incorrect
port on the computer. Connect a regular phone to the line to confirm dial tone. Make sure the
phone line is plugged into the Line port on the modem. If this still continues, try a different
cable. It is possible if this does not work that the modem or jack could be bad.
B. ISDN
Q: My ISDN connection is not working what should I do?
A: The first thing to try with a non functioning ISDN connection is to reset the equipment,
this will solve the problem most of the time.
C. DSL
Q: My DSL connection is not working what should I do?
A: The first thing to try with a non functioning DSL connection is to reset the equipment,
this will solve the problem most of the time.
Q: I recently got a new phone (fax machine or other phone device) and my DSL quit working, what
do I do?
A: Some devices conflict with DSL signal and will stop them from working. Unplug the new
equipment and see if the DSL resumes working. You might need a filter to block the device from
interfering with the DSL.
